The Bmc-84 broker bond, & the BMC-85 broker trust funds are for unpaid freight charges ONLY. They do not cover anything else.
75% of freight brokers today use the BMC-85 Brokers Trust Fund.

I read a statistic on Texas Trucking saying that 1 out of every 14 people in Texas are truckers. I don't know the validity of that statement, but i could see why the Governer wanted to push for that. With such a huge trucking industry in Texas, that would have possibly raked in a good amount of money. However I'm glad they didn't. Because the Texas trucking industry already has so much to take care of before they hit the road. Very informative! Thanks!

Hello, katgib55, Thank you for your comment on my blog. If you want to know more about all the truck stops in the U.S. check out the Trucking Resources - Travel Info page on http://www.truckersandtravelers.com. I did some research and came up with an answer for you. There are some truckstops that do offer free coffee. Here's the breakdown. The Pilot and TA truck stops do NOT offer free coffe with a fuel purchase. The Petro truck stops do give free coffee with a fuel purchase. Most of them have a $50 minimum purchase for this. They did not indicate if you needed a Petro card with that purchase. If you would like to find out more, call a local Petro. I called the Kingsland, GA Petro to get this information. Here's their number: (912) 882-3111, or you can visit their website at http://www.petrotruckstops.com. The Flying J offers a free cup of joe with a $50 minimum fuel purchase and a Frequent Flying J Fueler Card. You can visit their website at: http://www.flyingj.com. The last place I called was the Love's truck stop (http://www.loves.com) and they said they give a free refill with more than $50 fuel purchase. They put the free refill on your Love's card and give you a free shower. There's a bonus. That's what I found out. I hope that helps and gives you more choices where to fuel for free coffee. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. Have a great day and be safe out there!!
